Only a very few members of Thomas G. Woodward's 2nd KY Cavalry came from the counties of Calloway and Marshall or any other counties west of the Tennessee River. I do though have records of 7 members of the unit buried in Calloway County, 5 buried in McCracken County, 4 buried in Marshall County, 4 buried in Graves County, 1 buried in Ballard County, and 1 individual buried in Hickman County that may have served in the unit. Maybe as many as half of these men were from west of the Tennessee River at the start of the war. Several of them served part of the war in other units.
