The source for these copies is the same one used by people working at the National Archives -- military service files assembled by War Department clerks a century ago.

Prices are found in the link at the top of this page, and the link seen below. I'm sure you understand the copy process always costs somebody, and orders placed here help keep message boards in operation that have help people like you. They cost something, too!
