Thank you for your response. I believe that J. D. Bennett may have been Jacob's older brother, James D.

Jacob must of been pretty remarkable as he was only 21 when the War broke out. I am working on having a graveside commemorative service for him in Apr 2008 with the assistance of the local SCV chapter. I will post more information as we make plans so if any of you are close to Clay Co TN, please make plans to join us.
