Glad to see so many interested in the 10th! Col. George R. Diamond was my great-great-great-uncle. For further reading refer to:

After the war, Diamond seved in the Ky. state legislature. He then apparently abandoned his first wife, move to western Ky, and got remarried. He then moved to Missouri, where he lived out his life. A few years ago I located his nephew and grand-daugher. Through them, I obtained photos, stories, etc. The grand-daughter even gave my wife a crystal vase that had belonged to the Col.! I also placed a confederat marker on his grave in Sandy Woods, MO.
