Wow! Thanks to you both. We have 4 direct ancestors who fought in that war, 1 for the Union (after the rebs burnt down the courthouse in Leitchfield, Kentucky), 3 for the South, 2 died of wounds or disease. Many uncles, nephews etc. also fought and died, mostly from Alabama and Texas.
