Once again, found on, Chronicling America. I searched, "Fort Gibson
supplies", and found the 2nd entry, top row, is a National Tribune
article, April 19, 1888, by Wiley Britton. I don't know if the volume
of the ORWR covering this would have been printed by this date,
or whether Britton had other source materials on which to base
this article. Still, an early account from a non-participant who might
have known campaign survivors.
