Recent posts (2/1/13) on the Arkansas Board indicate that at least ten white men from Arkansas were members of the Chickasaw Battalion during the Phillips Expedition. These men had volunteered at Boggy Depot and Fort Washita in mid-1863 and were still active in the Battalion in early 1865.

Remember, the Battle of Middle Boggy occurred on February 13, 1864, four miles south, southwest of Allen, Pontotoc County, OK.
