Question re: GGpa buried in Okla.

Hello, I am hoping you can direct me please.

I was told by a great aunt (now deceased) that my ggrandfather Robert S. Dickson was buried in the Minneha cemetery in McLoud, Pottowattamie co. Okla. He died in 1901.

his wife Sarah drew his pension. I have a neat photo of him with his "star" medal pinned on him, & I traveled to oklahoma to visit the cemetery he is buried in, but so far I have not found a written record of him being buried there..I also traveled to Tennessee to visit where he fought. I am soo proud of him and my greatest wish is to have a headstone placed to honor him.

1. can you tell me what kind of medal this was??

2.how can I obtain a headstone for him & will the government pay for it?

3. He was a member of the G A R near McLoud somewhere. Do you know how I can find which one it was & see if they have any more information?? I did send for his war records years ago.

He joined in indiana and was in the B 29th indiana infantry, & his name is on a monument at the courthouse there.
thank you very much,, carol watson in Az,
