I don't know if these are in the O Rs or not. They were in the Price correspondece we got in 2003 and I know some of that correspondence was in the O Rs. This is all I could find having to do with that area.

I have the honor to inform that I have 40 cattle in corralled, which I will guard for you till 10 a m tomorrow. If you are still in need send for them at once.
(There is plenty of stock in this vicinity off the road.) I would drive the cattle to you, but that my men are nearly all afoot. As an inducement for the messenger, Simon Byington, a Choctaw, I have assured him that the General would present him with a Navy Pistol, and a Gun, would induce him to assist in driving.

Colonel
As my cattle details have collected more beef than I need at present I have instructed “Maj Trickey” to send back the surplus to the army. All the supplies from Boggy Depot have been sent to a point 7 miles from here on the Doaksville road. As there were only 3000 rations of meal on hand Major Trickey issued only one ration to the Brigade leaving the remainder for the rear of the Army.
Gen Cooper urges me to march at once towards Doaksville that being the only possible route to supplies. I will move to day to the camp 7 miles below here and await instructions from Army Hd Qtrs. I will send an express to day for rations to meet us from Doaksville. Advise me when to march.

Having just returned from Boggy Depot where I have made myself acquainted with the ability of the post Surgeon at that place to take care of our sick and wounded I would respectfully say that only about ten or twelve patients can be accommodated at that place and that number are already in hospital. I also met several sick and wounded from Gen Clark’s Div on their way to that place who will fill up the place. If our sick and wounded are sent in that direction there is no place for them short of Fort Washita, twenty three miles beyond Boggy Depot. I would therefore respectfully suggest that they be taken along our lines of march as far as Spencer Academy where I am informed there are ample accommodations.

I avail myself of Gen Maxey’s courier to report that my Brigade is now crossing the Red River at the mouth of Kiomichi Creek. I get abundances of forage and subsistence and both men and horses are doing well. Will arrive at Clarksville on the 24th.

Head Quarters Shelbys Division

Colonel
Genl Shelby having relieved his staff from duty the business of the Division has devolved upon my staff and such duties not being anticipated they have not the necessary funds to defray the absolute expenses of the command. I therefore send to your Head Quarters Capt McDonald a Quartermaster and Major Duggan my Commissary, with a request that you order a sufficiency of funds be placed at their disposal to bear the expenses of the Division until we shall reach such point as you design as our stopping place.
