map: Battle of Middle Boggy; other places

Ken Martin,

In case others want to reference this 1869 map, they should know that it was drawn by Henry Jackson.

This is part of a rather extensive map that shows Fort Sill and, of course, construction of Fort Sill began in the spring of 1870. ..I included another portion of this extensive map plus the whole Henry Jackson (1869) map in my 1,022-page book. ..I'd post it in this venue if I knew how.

While we are at it, let's try to identify every place mentioned on the map.

1) Cherokeetown (partially written, above and to the upper left of the '1869' designation) was located between Wynnewood and Pauls Valley in now Garvin County.

2) ? __ ki Creek that runs north into the South Canadian River just above the last part of the word "Cherokeetown" .... maybe Turkey Creek

3) ? Ard ? ... just above the juncture of Little River and the South Canadian River.

4) ? Brogan / Brog __ ? ..just above Little Boggy

5) Purley's (need legal description) .. on the Ft Smith-Ft Arbuckle Road

6) Harlan's (need legal description) .. on the Ft Smith-Ft Arbuckle Road

7) Coal Creek, just above the Ft Smith-Ft Arbuckle Road

8) Chisholm's Store (need legal description)
