I'm looking into a location 15 miles N.E of Perryville
for the possible location of a Colbert Mill (Likely a sawmill to build Perryville, school, ect.?) But as to if "Winchester" Colbert was the owner is another matter he had 11 brother's and 9 sister's and over 20 male cousin's named Colbert near his age?? I'm not sure if this is within the same location you are looking for??
As I understand it Perryville was almost compeletey burned, it had a Postoffice,& station but all records were lost by fire,(likely by the fed. in late 1863)by dates Phillips was at Middle Boggy within early 1864(Feb)not much later than when Perryville was lost.
My other Gf married Winchester Colbert Dau his name was Benj. Frank Perry B. 1836-1892 (buried at Frisco) he was on the Chickasaw 1855 and 1860 Chickasaw (Anmutity payments) Pontotic Co,he lived at Old Pontotic also.Four of my Gf are buried at Frisco,Colbert Cem.,Cochran Cem,Frisco.Their Cochrans & Colbert Grand-children married
Lt Col Tandy C Walker D. 1910 Frisco-married Robert L Cochran Dau just after the war, also 3 or most of my Gm are at buried at Frisco.
Cheers.
