Re: Phillips Expedition - Feb 1864

Ken,
I will get that infor. to you, right now I am at the libary and do not have my notes. But he did first live at what was then Pontotic (Later Frisco) remember that the Choctaw sold the lands to the Chickasaw in 1855- "Winchester" Colbert was the appointed Chief in 1850 (Last Chief) 2nd Gov.
Harris being the first Gov. He "Winchester Colbert "signed for the Chickasaw's in 1855 treaty of lands from the Choctaws (Tandy Walker signed-Choctaw)
He lived in Pontotic at that time, and conducted all Chickasaw business from there. So I want look into that time period Pre-War.
Both Winchester and his wife Annica Kemp moved back to Frisco from Atoka area, they both were old then,he died 1880.
She Annica Kemp moved back with her Dau who had married a Boyd
(He became the Chickasaw Gov) she died a few years later 1884 at the Boyd home, near Oil Springs,Atoka.
They had lived there {Near Atoka} a number of years-10 ?
He may have owned the Winchester station durning that time (After the War)he was there, but I do not know, what he owned?
The answer, may be where the Chickasaw business was conducted at-Pontotic pre-war---LATER after the war business location? Winchester's son always had lived in Pontotic, and many other of his children.
