In his 1956 book, Virgil Carrington Jones describes his visit to the site (supposedly identfied by Manassas NMP historians) along with a WW2 vet.
According to Jones, the WW2 vet claimed that such desecrations were performed on dead Japanese soldiers from time to time by American forces.
I guess such actions are part of "the war thang".....must be in human nature or something....
Damn....guess "Uncle Billy" was right, war IS all hell....!!!
