I had orginally heard he was in the AL 46th infantry, Co. K. A group put together just across the AL line in Randolph Co. The cloest name was John L Osborn. Further research said he(John L.Osborn ) died when the 46th was with Hood for the Middle TN campain. My soldier appeared to have survived the war and died in Tishomingo ,Miss. in 190something. So one part is wrong . Either wrong guy to start with or the the wrong report of his death by dysentery at a Nashville prison. I was hoping there would be some info somewhere that might point more one way than the other.
