Union soldier captured near Campbellton

I'm researching a member of the 8th Indiana cavalry named Romulus Tolbert who was captured near Owl Rock Church (Campbellton) in September 1864. I was told that in a library nearby (unfortunately the source cannot remember where) there is an account of Tolbert's brief recuperation in a private home in the area, as a result of gunshot wounds, before his transfer to Cahaba prison in Alabama. I'm searching for that account, if anyone is familiar with it or has any ideas about where it could be located. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. My email address is hollygrove2@gmail.com.
