Conscripts - Can you tell me what this means and were I can find more info. I have found my ancestor in the Roster of Confederate Soldiers - All it states though is GA Conscript. I do not have knowledge on the war, but I have been looking for this ancestor for 15 years now and I finally found this. in the 1860 census he is in Rabun County GA. Family has copy of Muster Roll from Tupelo, MS. Can someone give me some leads on where to start the research for this man in the civil war? Thanks in Advance
