I located the Thomas Browning I was searching for in Co. "I" (Avery's) 4th---subsequently the 12th---Georgia Cavalry Reg't. His name was listed as Thomas Browanon in regimental records. His pension application was filed (date unknown) in Murray Co. Georgia following the war showing he served in Co. "I" 4th Georgia Cavalry. Browning lived in Murray County after the war so I'm convinced this was the Thomas Browning in question. [LW]
