Perry C. Carr, elected Captain May 17, 1861, mustered into Company A, 27th Georgia Infantry, September 10, 1861, admitted Chimborazo Hospital No. 4, Richmond, Va. December 8, 1861, fever (Intermittent), returned to duty December 18, recorded present at Camp Pickens, Va. on the Sep/Dec, 1861 Regimental Return, admitted Moore Hospital at General Hospital, No. 1, Danville, Va. January 7, 1862, Jaundice, recorded present on the February, 1862 Regimental Return at Camp Pickens, Manassas, Va., receipted for 2 months pay March 3, 1862, receipted for Camp Stores at Richmond, Va. April 9, 1862, died June 5, 1862, Attorney Henry A. Carr filed claim for the settlement of his accounts March 9, 1863

Note, there is a long hand written document filed by Attny. Carr which may have provided information on his death. Too faint for me to read on-line
