Re: Nash Farm Battlefield closure; Henry County, G

Commissioner Dee Clemmons, is a fine example of how politicians can twist the truth to make things sound perfect in their favor. Now she is saying she never asked that the flag be removed from the property, she says she had complaints about it being outside, so she asked that it be moved inside, then asked that it not be visible from the outside. So read Gregory's post again, the "Battlefield" had already complied to several of her demands but she kept on saying it was offending some people. A handful of "people" are ruining our history, and ruining museums, parks, and monuments. Now they are sneaking in the back door and attacking our reenactments also. Nash Farm had a great reenactment every year which they will not be able to hold again. And yes, Henry County has not felt the economic impact of this yet, wait a few months and they will realize what a mistake they made especially when it is time for the reenactors and their families and followers of events such as this fail to show up, and spend their money there.
Finally, after all the years Nash Farm has been there, why complain now? Could it possibly be Commissioner Clemmons had to come into office and make a showing as to what she could and would do?? On the morning news this morning they reported she was receiving hate mail and threatening calls. She has created a name for herself, but I really do not think this is what she had in mind.
