What is allowing Civil War, WWI, and WWII top die an untimely death? I live in Gainesville, Ga.

After the Civil War General Longstreet retired to Gainesville, Ga. He built a large hotel, married, and is buried in Al Vista Cemetery.

There is a Longstreet Society, Longstreet Clinic, Longstreet Cafe and a few other buildings named after General Longstreet.

On Confederate Memorial Day, Civil War Flags are placed on the graves of the Confederate dead

I, and others are too old (88) decrepit to visit schools and public gatherings to tell the history of the Civil War.

Other posts are absolutely correct, our elementary, high school, colleges, and school officials should not allow the wars that the U.S. has fought since its founding be forgotten.

The legacy of our countries greatness must be kept shinning brightly.
