Looking for a possible group of Confederate Partisan Rangers, "bushwhackers", home guard that may have escorted/guided a Confederate doctor traveling behind Union lines from Dallas/Rome, GA to Rogersville, TN in Oct. 1864. He was alone on horseback having been ordered to transfer from the Army of Tennessee to The "Army of the Valley" (2nd Corps, ANV) in the Shenandoah Valley of VA.
