The Georgia in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Kingston, GA surrender, May 12-20, 1865

I would be pleased to forward you the names of the men I have found who referenced being surrendered at Kingston, GA. I did a cursory search of my database and it appears I have around 90 men in this category.

In what format (Word document, spreadsheet, etc) would you prefer to have the data? I'm sure the source for much of what I have found is the pension records. As I search for graves in a Georgia county, I go through the pension records for that county. Unfortunately up until now, I have only documented those men for whom I have located a burial location. In the future, I will make note of all who indicate the Kingston surrender.

The men that were organized by General Wofford, were they organized into Regiments and Companies? Were they considered part of the Georgia Militia that was organized in 1864? I have a heck of a time associating some of the men with the correct name of the state unit in which they served.
