My special thanks to George and Dennis for replying to my posts with information. I am disabled vet myself so it is harder for me to get around and travel to sites where relatives might be buried or where records are kept outside Florida where I live. It seems 99% of my relatives were from Ireland and I have many living there now whom I talk with frequently. The difference between those who stayed in Ireland and those who came to "Ameriky" makes me think those who came in early 19th or late 18th Century were fleeing the law or had a mighty push to leave Ireland and come to Georgia. They were here before the Potato Famine so that is not what drove them here. They were protestants so they were the top dogs over in Ireland at the time. You would think the Irish would know all about their ancestors, but they could care less and know even less. Half of them left Ireland during the famine anyway even though mine were already here. I do have some catholic relatives in the "Free State" as they call it. They know nothing nor do they care.
