I don't have info on Mr. Wood, but all three of my relatives in Co. H., 22 Ga. Regiment, Co. K., 16th GA. Regiment and Co. A. , 63rd GA. Regiment got so sick in camp or in the field they almost died and ended up debilitated. I was in the Army in late 1969-71 and soldiers were still getting sick from dysentery, lung infections and all the other diseases that young men get when they are brought together in close contact.
