I saw your post on Lewis Washington Myers. He is my great great grandfather on my dads side of the family. His son Grafton Sr married Frant H Foote's Daughter. Google Foote and you will find some of his writings on the civil war about Fort Gregg and Gettysburg. I have 3 of his scrapbooks and a bunch of letters and a few photos. I have very little information on Lewis or "Wash" as my grandfather called him and am interested in anything you might have on him. All I have is a genealogical record and the basic story of his capture and imprisonment and his unfavorable opinion of the Union. I know he was wounded as well as my grandfather wrote about seeing the wound. I also have record of him being in the 26 Reg. Tn Vol. Inf. as a private prior to joining the 12th Ga. Vol. Cav. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
