Thanks George and Ed. After I learned that the 16th BN GA Cavalry was merged in the 13th Regt, I found William C. Ritchey on one of its rosters. As for Welcome Colinsworth Lovejoy, I did find a genealogical record that stated that he and his son Pleasant Harrison Lovejoy enlisted in Company C, 12th Regiment AL Cavalry. I was not able to find either man in that unit.
