On a prior message here, I saw where it was stated that there was a 16th BN GA Cavalry unit that was different from the 16 BN GA Cavalry State Guards. I have found two men whose unit was stated as 16th BN GA Cavalry. I was not able to find them listed in the State Guards unit or any other unit for that matter. Was there a 16th BN GA Cavalry and is it possible that these two men were in that unit instead of the State Guards unit? The two men are Welcome Collingsworth Lovejoy and William Caldwell Richey.
