* This company was also known as Company ____, 25th Georgia Battalion (Provost Guard)

Operated in the Conscript Bureau March/April 1864, Atlanta, Ga.
The battalion was disbanded June 24, 1864, which directed that the men liable to conscription be turned over to the nearest enrolling officer, and those liable to enrollment in the reserve force be turned over to Major General Howell Cobb, commanding Reserves

George W. Lee had previously served as Commanding Officer of the 38th Georgia Infantry, resigning July, 1862 for medical reasons. He later served as a Lt. Col. with the 3rd Cavalry Battalion Georgia State Guard (Atlanta Fire Battalion) which was mustered out February 4, 1864
