Looking for any information on Absolom B. Martin that served in Co. N. 38th Ga. Regiment, Infantry. (pvt) Born in 1824. Wounded at Winchester, Va. in 1863
Also information on Absolom B. Martin, that served in Co. I 38th Ga. Regiment, Infantry. (pvt.-cpl) Born 1831. Surrendered in 1865 at Appomattox Va. Discharged 11 April, 1865 at Appomattox, Va.
Could this possibly be the same man? Although there are different burial places for each. It appears both men signed up 15 May 1862, Atlanta, Georgia, which I would think would be highly unusual.
Just trying to sort this out for the Georgia Confederate Grave Data Base. Any and all help will be appreciated. thanks tom
