Amiss, Acting Assistant Surgeon, 31st Regiment Georgia Infantry, recorded absent, sick, with leave 10 days of December, 1862 and all 31 days of January, 1863, Camp near Port Royal, Va., listed with Lawton's Brigade February, 1863, paid March 2, 1863 for the period July 28, 1862 to February 28, 1863, 7 months, no other records

Record of Events, Co. A, 13th Battalion North Carolina Light Artillery

Nov/Dec, 1864, stationed at Weldon, N. C., Dec. 31, 1864

Since last muster the Company has remained at its former position defences of Weldon, N. C.
In the 9th of Dec 1864 one section [two guns] under command of Lt. Horne marched to Gaston, 14 miles returned on the 11th.
The two recruits are boys 16 years of age enlisted by permission of the Comdy officer at Weldon.

Jan/Feb, 1865, stationed at Weldon, N. C., Feby 28, 1865

On the 31st Jany 1865, this Company marched with the Command of Col. Jno. H. Anderson, to Polly Casty Church 24 miles. Feby, 1st to Ahosky Church 17 miles Feby 2nd to the Trap 9 miles Feby 3rd to Etheridges Farm on the Chowan River 8 miles and same day returned to the Trap, 6 miles Feby 4th to Ahosky Church 9 miles Feby 9th Polly Casty Church 17 miles Feby 10th to Camp near Weldon 24 miles Feby 25 the Battery was ordered to Goldsboro Moved to Weldon where it still awaits transportation.

Company A, 13th Battalion, North Carolina Light Artillery led by Captain Louis H. Webb. Company A was known as Harrington Light Artillery. The 13th Artillery Battalion, except Company F, fought in a major battle on March 19, 1865, at Bentonville (near Goldsboro), NC. The Confederate forces, led by General J. E. Johnston, were defeated by the Union Army, which was led by General W. T. Sherman. On April 4, the 13th Artillery Battalion joined with the Confederate Army of Tennessee to surrender to the Union Army.
