Allatoona Pass was along the railroad and so was the Etowah Bridge. The landmarks to speak are still here today as you can still see the pylons for the Etowah bridge off Highway 41 in Cartersville today and Allatoona Pass is another site. During the war it was the largest manmade rairoad cut east of the Mississippi. The Etowah Indian Mounds are a few miles off the beaten path. The remains of the town of Etowah and Coopers Furnace is about three or four miles down the river from Hwy 41. Hope this helps
