Joshua Jones reported a birth year of 1843 in 1870 and 1880. When asked in 1900, he responded with the month and year on his marker.
Going the other direction, only one male in the household of Evan Jones is listed. According to the 1850 census, that would be David, born about 1837.

The 1840 census of Bibb County lists Evan Jones and his spouse as between the ages of 30 and 39. I don't find a subsequent reference to him or other family members except Joshua and Floyd. In 1860 Floyd Jones appears in the household of William Booth, Bibb County #1764. Unless antebellum records in the Bibb County Courthouse were destroyed, there should be a deed or mortgage or record of marriage for Evan Jones. On the 1850 census he's living next to Isaiah Jones, age 44, listed with Matilda Jones (age 38) and William Jones (age 10).

Warrior District is located in the west corner of Bibb County between Monroe and Crawford County. Possibly there may be some reference to Evan or Martha Jones in one of those counties. Here's a militia district map of Bibb County --
