Thanks for the info.! If indeed the regiment used one of their companies flag-temporary. I wonder if the the company would have been "CO.B" (Jackson Guards) who were appointed as the regiments color-company ? Even though, their company flag presentation
does'nt mention what the pattern of the flag was -except for the motto and irish-themed emblems; it mentions it was a flag of the Confederate States. So probably a 1st Nat'l pattern. If so, maybe my ancestor who was the company color-bearer for the Jackson Guards - might have filled the position temporary-
