Looking for help finding information on Joseph Leon Darby. I have an affadavit from his wife, Emma McNeely Darby dated September 1919. J.J. Easterlin witnessed the fact that Joseph Darby was in Company D, 3rd Georgia Reserves. He enlisted April 1864 at Oglathorpe, Georgia. Mentioned something about 2nd Sieuh? Supposedly they both surrendered April 1865 at Columbus, GA.
I cannot find anything about either Joseph Darby or J.J. Easterlin. I was checking facts to confirm if a J.J. Easterlin was in the reserves, but to no avail.
