Lee, just a little help? According to the 1880 Census Max Corput was living in Fulton, County Georgia which would be the Atlanta area. He was born in Belguim in 1826 and in 1880 was listed as a farmer and married. The census was taken in Black Hall, Fulton County Georgia.

It's possible he could be listed in the Georgia 1864 census but I don't have access to that right now.
