Hello,

I'm very new to all this. My aunt gave me a genealogy sheet recently that had my 4th great grandfather, James B Mcmullen, as dying on 09 Feb 1893 in Maryland during the Civil War. I had no clue that anyone I was related to fought in the Civil War. Doing some basic online research I found that he was a 2nd Lieutenant in the 1st Battalion, Special Cavalry from Florida. I've tried to look up what his unit did, where they fought, etc but can't find anything. Any help would be highly appreciated.
