The comments on huge flags having modest collector value are correct. However, that does not mean you can't find a home for that flag and make a profit. There's a pub in Atlanta that has a ca 10x15 foot 48-star flag occupuying one wall. I asked the owner about it and he told me the whole story about his dealings with an antiques dealer in town over a period of months. He ended up paying $500 for a flag that would probably sell on eBay for $150 to $200. Decorators and other non-collectors may find the historic artifact irresistable, but it may take some time. If you want an opinion on the flags authenticity (not that there are many fake 38-star flags of that size) please post a picture or two.
