Flag Location

Was doing some googling, found this book - Our Flag By George Henry Preble.

In the book he writes: "Still another battle flag (No. 14) was captured in a hand to hand fight in the trenches, by Sergeant Otis C. Roberts, of the 6th Regiment of Maine Volunteers, Nov. 7, 1863. It belonged to the 8th Louisiana Regiment. This much we learned from the museum register. " Page 443.

Does anyone one know if the flag still exists? and if it does, where it might be?

I also posted this on the Louisiana Forum, and if you know the answer, could you place it there? Thanks
