Re: 19th Ga./actually 14th Tenn. GA flag book

John,

If you read the text for the entry of the 19th Georgia flag in the book of flags in the Georgia Capitol Museum, written by my good friend Dr. Keith Bohannon of West GA University, you will note in the last paragraph that it was mentioned that two (now three) pieces of evidence suggest the flag might have belonged to the 14th Tennessee. The third piece is their color bearer stating that he got away with the flag.

I was the primary researcher for the GA flags book - Bohannon had my massive GA flag files for over a year and we consulted all the time about the book. He now believes, and did then, that this is the 14th Tennessee's flag It was he that found the flag requisition for the 14th TN where they admitted losing their flag at Fredericksburg by the way.

Hope this helps.
