Outstanding, Ken! I just happaned to come across that, never knew anything about this before. I guess some poking around sometimes finds more then you asked for.

I had two family members in the 6th Mighigan Infantry. Sadly they both died of disease.

Private--Caleb A. Prouty, Company "K" enlisted 05 August, 1861. Died of disease 10 November, 1861 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Private--Hiram Prouty, Company "K" enlisted, 10 August, 1861.
Died of disease 23 September, 1863 at Memphis, Tennessee.

Ken, would you know if there is a website or book on 9th La Battn's flag that was captured?
