Greg has presented documentation on our Confederate battle flags. If he is incorrect, then we all would like to see this as well, so what info is he incorrect on? Just because Greg is not Southern by birth is no reason to attack him on that issue. If I am not mistaken, we had a lot of those north of the M D line that crossed and fought and died for the South. This board is for flag research and I along with others want correct or as correct as we can have flag information.
But on issue i'd like to chime in on as well. I've not found any info from the war that says the St. Andrews cross. If these men are up to date on heraldy then they would have used the correct name for the cross, Oui?
