This may be just a coincidence, but I read an article in a Fort Levenworth, Kansas newspapers about a flag that was left in a cabin in winter quarters after first Manassas. The flag was from the Crescent Blues Company from New Orleans. The Blues were one of three companies forming Schaeffer's Batalion at Bull Run. The name of Schaeffer's company from Virginia was the Beauregard Rifles.
