What is the reference indicating that the 58th North Carolina carried a Hardee type flag?
I have found no reference that places a Hardee flag with either the 58th NC or the 63rd Va.
However both Regiments, along with the 5th Kentucky, were presented with Colt Repeating Rifles for the use of their Color Guards after the battle of Chickamauga.
