Excellent post Len! I had a family member in the 1st Ga regiment it is listed as "Ramsey's". Private W.H Prouty served in that regiment, then switched to the 12th Ga Artillery Batt'n and then the 63rd Ga Infantry. I dont know which unit he ended the war with. 12th Ga Art Batt'n or 63rd Ga.

The 12th Ga Art Batt'n surrendered at Appomattox with 6 officers and 125 men.
