Two men have been identified as being Colorbearer at Franklin. None of the Color Guard have been id'd.

John Thomas Longino, Jr. was killed. His Compiled service record lists him as "lieut." "mortally wounded". He is buried at McGavock Cemetery in Franklin.

William Harrison Bailey was captured after planting the Colors on the Federal works. He later dies at Camp Douglas
in June 1865. He is buried in the Chicago City Cemetery
