Having read yours and Ken's posts I too am curious as to where the battle flag came from. Could the flag have been a first national color, designated as the battery's battle flag? I know that before the traditional battle flag was adopted, units used the first national flag with their unit's name on it. I have a question. I was wondering if the state flag made from Mrs. Anderson's wedding dress was one of the white colored Virginia flags that I have seen photos of? Virginia's official flag is blue, but I have seen specimens from the period that were light in color.
