Michael,
An interesting artifact to say the least.
The inscription "Victory or Death" was by far
the most frequent used on Southern flags.
Everyone remembered Col. Travis' letter from
the Alamo.
Is the craving a true representation of the real thing??
Will need more to say for sure; one way or the other!
Does any other material from Pvt Knight exist?

On another front; Can anyone provide a copy of William B. Judkins Memoirs?
Supposedly a copy exists in the Rome, Ga. Library.
Judkins belonged to 22nd Georgia and was a prolific name dropper.
Appreciate any help in this matter.
