I know that there is no connection between the 32nd and McCown at all. As to the Helena flag of the 39th aka Hawthorne’s Regt there is no photo in existence that I have ever seen of exactly what it was, only a written description. The only units to get those were McCowns. division and 32 nd was not ever east of the river, so if it is real, it will be a strange flag. Also, if it has Jenkins Ferry wonder why it doesn’t have Prairie Grove, Helena or Litttle Rock on it as well. They were in both those battles too and would have definitely included them I would think. My first reaction is it may not be legitimate, but will let the experts determine that....I just know that there is no connection between the design, the unit, and McCown. I can’t see the pics either.
