Capture No. 32

Hello. This is my first time to post here and I am hoping you guys can help me.

Does anyone know from what regiment Capture No. 32 was taken? Listed as follows:

No. 32 - Confederate battle flag, captured at Malvern Hill, near James River, Virginia, July 1, 1862, by Butterfield's Brigade, Sergeant W. J. Whittrick, Eighty-second Pennsylvania Volunteers. This flag was taken from a South Carolina regiment, who piled up their dead to resist the attack of the brigade.

I believe the 82nd PA was previously the 31st PA? and it looks like the 31st was indeed part of Butterfield's brigade at Malvern Hill. Was this flag taken from one of the regiments of Kershaw's brigade?

What about this other (presumably) SC flag described as a "Palmetto Flag" and listed in the Transactions of the Oneida Historical Society at Utica, Volumes 10-13, 1905, page 13 published by Oneida Historical Society at Utica. Listed as follows:
Now in the custody of the Oneida Historical Society (as of 1905):
Palmetto Flag, Captured by the 14th (NY) Regiment at Malvern Hill, Va., July 1, 1862.

Anyone know what regiments these two flags belonged to?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Laura
