The Port Columbus Naval Museum has wonderful flags. The CS flags came from the Gustavus Fox collection from Massachusetts. He was Assistant SecNav for the Union and the flags were held by him until donated to a historical society there. They contacted me some years ago and asked where some of their flags should be sent and I suggested the museum in Columbus for the Fox collection due to its naval focus. I am sure they asked others for their opinions as well.

The museum also holds a FN flag attributed to the CSS Arkansas but there's some doubts as to that ID.

The Columbus city museum holds two CS flags too - the ANV 12 star wool/cotton issue of the 12th Georgia Infantry and an unknown silk First National that may have connections to a local unit (much of the 2nd Georgia came from this area).

It has been awhile since I have been to Columbus - I need to get back down there again.
